Tutoring costs between $50 - $130 / hour. The first class is a free trial, and if you are interested in continuing, we will tell you the price that we determine fair for that specific client. 

Payments are accepted via Venmo (@lgtutoring) or PayPal, as well as most major credit/debit cards, every 2 weeks​. 

On Zoom or another video conferencing platform or in special cases, in person in NJ at a mutually agreed location such as a local library or the student's home.

Typically, no! Clients should have a notebook/pencil or pen to take notes and solve problems during classes. For subject-based tutoring, the client should be able to provide the name of their textbook during class for consultation. For subject-based tutoring to prepare for a class, we can provide a PDF of the textbook for the client (if needed).

LG Tutoring is unique because we are recent student tutors, meaning that we teach subjects that we went through recently.

Our philosophy to tutoring is that each student faces their own unique problems, and we try to address everyone's issues individually and work to resolve them. Some clients may have a weak background in Algebra, and some may not know how to synthesize concepts effectively. We take a highly personalized approach to tutoring. We also ask for and respond to feedback quickly.

We give homework if the student or parent wants homework. An example of homework is provided below (click the picture!), and each homework assignment is custom made by the tutor. The goal of our homework is not to make it extremely long and dreaded by the student, but an effective review of concepts from that week. We emphasize active recall in our classes.
